Portrait of Ajay Pratap Singh

Ajay Pratap Singh's research focuses on the development of machine learning and deep learning algorithms for biomedical image analysis, with a particular emphasis on applications in radiology and pathology. His work involves the design of novel computational methods to extract meaningful information from medical images, which can aid in disease diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment planning.

Specific Interests

  • Classification and Quantification of Interstitial Lung Diseases using HRCT images
  • Development of AI-based radiomics methods using biomedical imaging modalities

During the COVID-19 pandemic, he worked on the development of CovBaseAI, an expert system for detection of COVID pneumonia likelihood, which is an amalgamation of expert-defined knowledge-base and deep learning networks trained on pre-COVID-19 era data. The tool achieved a high negative predictive value on Indian quarantine center data.
