Portrait of Bhupesh Taneja

Bhupesh Taneja's lab investigates host-pathogen interactions at a molecular level using protein crystallography and genome informatics of key cellular pathways. Antimicrobial resistance in bacteria (including mycobacteria) as well as in dermatophytic fungi (that cause skin infections) is one of the key areas of their current research focus.

Specific Interests

  • Structural insights into nucleotide modifying and regulatory proteins of M. tuberculosis
  • Understanding the molecular basis of fungal skin infections by dermatophytes
