The primary theme of Archana Singh's laboratory is to understand the cellular, architectural and molecular cross-talk between different lineages of cells in maintaining skin homeostasis in diseases including vitiligo, keloids and psoriasis.
Specific Interests
- Understanding the molecular basis for a reduced incidence of skin cancers in individuals with vitiligo
- Deciphering the non-canonical role of melanocytes
- Function of human skin-resident T cells in maintaining skin homeostasis
She is also developing 3D skin models and animal models to elucidate disease mechanisms in vitiligo.
