Portrait of Archana Singh

The primary theme of Archana Singh's laboratory is to understand the cellular, architectural and molecular cross-talk between different lineages of cells in maintaining skin homeostasis in diseases including vitiligo, keloids and psoriasis.

Specific Interests

  • Understanding the molecular basis for a reduced incidence of skin cancers in individuals with vitiligo
  • Deciphering the non-canonical role of melanocytes
  • Function of human skin-resident T cells in maintaining skin homeostasis

She is also developing 3D skin models and animal models to elucidate disease mechanisms in vitiligo.
