Decision Unit-1: Genomics and Genome Biology
Cutting-edge genomics and microbiology addressing critical challenges in human health and ecological resilience.
Research Theme
At the cutting edge of innovative genomics and microbiology, our Decision Unit addresses critical challenges in human health and ecological resilience. Our research spans microbial genomics, Ayurgenomics, functional genomics, neurological disease mechanisms, computational genomics, and hypoxia-related genomic responses.
We integrate high-throughput sequencing technologies with computational approaches to decode the genomic basis of complex human traits, diseases, and environmental adaptations. Our work bridges fundamental genome science with translational applications, contributing to precision medicine, population genomics, and a deeper understanding of how genomes regulate biological function.
The unit fosters collaboration across disciplines, combining wet-lab experimentation with large-scale data analytics to produce research of national and global significance — consistent with CSIR-IGIB's mandate of science for society.
